About me: I caught the travel bug early on. I am sure there is no cure. But you can treat the symptoms.
Growing up my Dad spent time working overseas. This fueled my curiosity about the world beyond my own back yard. I remember staring at maps and being shocked about how it could be late at night at home and morning elsewhere. I was also lucky in my youth to see a great deal of my own country--and quite a bit of the United States as well. University brought an opportunity to live in a part of the country that before that time I had never even visited. Finally I even had the chance to live overseas. It was not easy but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Having now traveled to over 30 countries on 5 continents I finally feel like I have traveled. At least a little bit. The problem is, the more I travel, the more I want to travel. As a result I am keeping my eyes open for the next travel opportunity.
Almost as much as I love to travel I also love to talk about it--or write about it. So here I am to share my travel stories with you. Some days I may tell you about a great place I found to eat, a historical site I have seen and loved (or maybe didn't), or even things you might need to know about a given destination.
Glad to see that you have found your way here. I hope I can educate as well as inspire.
